Meet the Teachers

Mrs Stevens

My name is Mrs Stevens and I am going to be the Teacher of McKee Class in September.  I am extremely excited to meet you all.  The year will be filled with exploring, adventures and LOADS of fabulous learning.  The things I like to do at school are painting, reading (my favourite books are The Tiger who came to Tea and This Morning I Met a Whale), writing, P.E, singing and lots more FUN learning.  I hope you have had lots of fun in the sunshine and keeping safe.  Look forward to meeting you all soon.

Mrs Oliver

My name is Mrs Oliver and I'll be teaching in Butterworth Class.  I love anything creative, whether it be drawing, baking or taking photographs!  I am very excited about meeting you all soon.  I'm new to Westwood and I am very much looking forward to becoming a part of the team and community of Westwood Primary School.

Miss Scarafile

Hello everyone.  My name is Miss Scarafile and I will be teaching Donaldson Class.  I am really excited about next year and cannot wait to meet you all.  Some of my favourite things to do are baking and eating cake, reading books, exercising by going on long walks around the village I live in and planting fruit and vegetables to eat in my garden.  I also enjoy making cards and special gifts to give to my family for Christmas and Birthdays.

Mrs Talbot

Welcome to Westwood.  My name is Mrs Talbot and I am the class teacher in Inkpen Class.  This year will be filled with fun and exciting learning.  I enjoy so many aspects of the school curriculum and can't wait to learn alongside you.  My favourite things to do outside of school are to go on long walks (I am training for a marathon distance hike to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support), I absolutely love to read (I write book reviews for a few different websites) and I sing in a choir.  I look forward to seeing you all soon.

Story Time

Our curriculum in Foundation Stage is built around books.  It is so important to instil a love of literature in our children.  The teachers have chosen some of their favourite stories to share with you.

Mrs Stevens reads Mr Big by Ed Vere.

Mrs Talbot reads Oi Frog by Kes Gray and Jim Field.

Mrs Oliver reads Duck in the Truck by Jez Alborough,

And Miss Scarafile reads Julia Donaldson's What the Ladybird Heard.
