“Learning and Growing Together”
Welcome to Westwood; a four-form primary school based over two sites in March, Cambridgeshire. With a strong history of serving the local community, we pride ourselves on putting the needs of all children at the centre of everything that we do. Our staff work hard to provide an inspiring and inclusive curriculum to enable all children to thrive in every aspect of their lives. Pupil progress, achievement and well-being are at the very core of our decision making as we promote ambition for all children, supporting them to become responsible, caring and successful members of the community.
Working together with parents and carers is a priority as we promote high standards of behaviour and support our children to learn to show respect for themselves and others. Our core school rules 'Ready, Respectful, Safe' underpin our guiding principles: Children First, Be Safe, Be Kind, Be Open, Forgive and Make a Difference. Through our nurturing approach we support children to show courage and resilience and to learn the value of honesty, enabling them to learn from their mistakes and to develop self-confidence.
We are committed to broadening the horizons of all our children through providing a wide range of learning experiences in the classroom, in our local community and beyond as we develop children's curiosity and a life-long love of learning. As proud members of The Elliot Foundation, we work alongside the trust and other schools to drive improvement at Westwood as we aim to provide the very best education for our children and our community.
