At Westwood we prioritise communication with parents. If you have any concerns or questions please contact us via the school office.
Ways we will communicate with you:
Staff are available to speak with at the beginning and end of the school day. Senior Leaders are positioned on the playground and teachers can be found at their classroom doors.
Each fortnight we will send you a newsletter, the Westwood News. This includes a calendar of events for the whole year which is updated each fortnight.
Every other week we will send you the Wellbeing@Westwood which gives you information about keeping yourself and your children safe and well.
Parent consultation meetings are held in the autumn and spring terms and provide an opportunity for you to discuss your child's attendance, learning and progress with their class teacher. For pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, a termly parent consultation is offered to provide an opportunity to review targets and plan next steps in learning.
A school report is provided in the summer term. There is an opportunity for parents to meet with teachers to discuss this report, should they wish to.
If we are concerned about something that has happened in school, staff will catch up with you either in person or by phone.
Our school website is reviewed and updated regularly to ensure you have access to all information necessary.
Use the free Arbor parent app to see updates and review information about your child. Guidance can be found below. For more information, speak with the school office.
