2.7.26 Year 6 Rutland Water Trip - It was fantastic to see so many children of our children push themselves and take risks at the Aqua Park on Thursday. The children showed great teamwork when supporting each other on the water as well as resilience on some rather tricky obstacles! A great experience for all.
2.7.26 Year 1 and Year 2 Sports Day- The children have thoroughly enjoyed practising for and participating in Sports Day. They worked hard in the lead-up to the event, developing their running, jumping and balancing skills while encouraging one another to do their best. We are incredibly proud of the excellent sportsmanship they demonstrated throughout the morning, showing kindness, resilience and determination, as well as cheering on and supporting their classmates. It was wonderful to see everyone taking part with such enthusiasm and celebrating each other's achievements.
1.7.26 EYFS Sports Day- Sports Day has been the highlight of our fortnight! After lots of practice, the children all did an amazing job. It was wonderful to see their cooperation, determination, and enthusiasm throughout the carousel activities. They should be very proud of their achievements. This year was the first year we included races as part of our EYFS Sports Day, and it was fantastic to see the children compete with such excitement and give their all. They truly ran their socks off! Thank you to everyone who attended and supported the event. Your encouragement and cheers made the afternoon even more special for the children, and we appreciate your continued support.
30.06.26/01.07.26 Year 4 Kettle Yard Trip - were also commended on their politeness and behaviour on their trip to the Kettle Yard in Cambridge. Whilst at the art gallery, they toured the cottage to
complete sketching challenges set by the staff; learned how to use ink and rollers to create monoprints; and took inspiration from the artwork in the galleries to create their own flower drawings.
18.06.26 Year 3 and Year 4 Sports Day - Thank you to all those who came to support our children. It was wonderful to hear our children supporting one another as classes competed against each other. A huge thank you to our PE team: Mrs Leanne Canavan, Mrs Heather MacNeil and Miss Charlotte Norman.
17.06.26 Oak Site Football Fun Day - Children from Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 had a great time at the Football Fun Day! It was great to see them all outside and enjoying themselves. The five activities all had a World Cup theme which the children were super excited about. All the children were engaged and demonstrated good ball skills. They all worked really well together.
04.06.26 Year 6 Visited March Fire Station - The children enjoyed a trip to March Fire Station this week where they learnt lots about fire, water and road safety.
19.05.26 EYFS Wicken Fen Trip - EYFS embarked on a fantastic school trip to Wicken Fen. The children were extremely well behaved throughout the day. Activities included pond dipping, minibeast hunting and exploring ways to connect to the natural world. We had a wonderful day and created lots of special memories. We also said goodbye to our butterflies and released them into the wild. It was a beautiful moment watching the butterflies begin a new adventure.
08.05.26 The Great Outdoors Day - We all thoroughly enjoyed our ‘Enjoying the Great Outdoors Day’. The weather was definitely on our side and all year groups spent a significant amount of the day appreciating the outdoors; including an assembly! Children engaged with a wide range of learning from across the curriculum including Maths, English, Art, PE and Science learning throughout the day. Both staff and children were very keen to share their creations and lots of children commented on how they enjoyed the learning.
26.04.26 Year 1 Sandringham Trip - Year 1 had a fanstastic school trip last week. The children represented the school beautifully and the staff were incredibly impressed with their enthusiasm.
26.03.26 Year 2 Banham Zoo Trip - Year 2 had an amazing time visiting Banham Zoo. They represented the school amazingly and were super excited to see the different animals.
25.03.26 Year 1 Three Little Pigs Performance - The Year 1 children performed their version of the Three Little Pigs. It was amazing to see their hard work come to life. Thankyou to everyone who came and watched.
24.03.26 Year 4 Roman Day - Roman Day was a huge success. The year 4 children enjoyed their hunt around the school for Roman numerals and making shields.
16.03.26 Year 4 Hilltop - The children enjoyed their visit to Hilltop. They challenged themselves to try new things and had lots of fun.
11.03.26 Whole School Fun Run - The children loved participating in the fun run courses consisting of a skipping station, a sports circuit and a fitness circuit.
09.03.26 -13.03.26 Science Week - The whole school had fun engaging in a range of activities for science week. Some of the activities include learning where fruits come from, how foods can affect our bodies and how we can reduce food waste.
06.03.26 Year 5 March Railway Station - Year 5 had a fantastic time visiting the March railway station. They learned about the history and made links to their learning about the industrial revolution.
05.03.26 Whole World Book Day - The Whole School enjoyed taking part in World Book Day. The children and adults enjoyed dressing up as book characters and completing book related activities throughout the day.
26.02.26 Year 2 March Museum - Year 2 enjoyed their visit to the March Museum, learning how transport has developed over the years.
26.02.26 EYFS Hereos - As part of the topic 'Heroes', The Reception classes enjoyed a visit from the local vets Triovet. They spoke all about animal care and what vets do.
06.02.26 Whole School Number Day - The children enjoyed coming in dressed as Rockstars and Robots to celebrate and raise the profile of maths in school. The children were excited to share fun maths activities with adults during the afternoon.
06.02.26 Year 5 The Wonderdome Planeterium - As part of the Year 5 Science topic on Space, we were lucky to welcome 'The Wonderdome Planetarium' to school. The children enjoyed the workshops they had the opportunity to take part in.
04.02.26 Year 4 extravanganza - The Year 4 classes performed their musical extravaganza and enjoyed performing to parents and children. Thankyou to everyone who came and showed their support.
03.02.26 The Year 1 local walk- The children enjoyed a walk into the local town as part of their Geography learning. It was a fanstastic opporutntiy to look at different human and physcial Geography.
15.01.26 Year 3 Atomic Tom - As part of the Science topic this term (Forces and Magnets), we welcomed Atomic Tom into school. Atomic Tom brought science to life for the year 3 children. They really enjoyed his visit.
08.01.26 EYFS Local Walk - As part of the topic ‘Our World’ the EYFS children went on a walk of the local area (Maple Grove, Robingoodfellows Lane & Acacia Grove). They enjoyed looking at the homes we have in the local area and discussing their similarities and differences.
19.12.25 Carols on the Playground - The whole school gathered on the Oak Playground to sing Christmas Carols. A big thankyou to all the adults who joined. We hope you enjoyed it as much as the children did!
17.12.25 Year 2 Carols by Candlelight - The Year 2 classes gathered at St. Peter's Church to perform Christmas carols. A big thankyou to everyone who joined us.
16.12.25 EYFS Nativity- Jeffers & Potter, Milne & Sendak performed the 'Knock Knock Nativity' Performance to parents/Carers. The children had lots of fun.
10.11.25 Odd Socks Day - we wore our Odd Socks to show our individuality and celebrate being unique to kick-start Anti-bullying week.
7.11.25 Our Halloween Discos were a huge success with 434 children attending and having a great time! Thank you for supporting the discos.
