At Westwood, we recognise technology is rapidly changing and is an integral part of everyday life. We aspire to equip our children with the tools and knowledge to use technology confidently and ensure they are digitally literate providing them with the computing skills to use in the future. We want our children to understand the basics of Computer Science and how programming forms part of everyday technologies. We appreciate the importance and increasing relevance of online safety and strive to provide them with the tools to use all technologies responsibly. We aim to broaden their digital understanding and opportunities regardless of their access to technology outside of school. We intend to develop children’s perception of technology as a tool for learning, innovation and discovery.
